Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Productive Longevity (CPL) is to stimulate the substantially increased utilization of workers 55 and older (Workers 55+) and to serve as a bridge between employers seeking talent and Workers 55+ who are ready and qualified to continue in productive activities.

Objectives

CPL is dedicated to:

  • Demonstrate the positive impact that utilizing Workers 55+ will have on meeting the needs of employers for skilled, experienced workers in coming decades.
  • Stimulate employers to substantially increase the utilization of Workers 55+ who are ready and qualified to continue working.
  • Persuade employers to develop flexible human resource policies and practices that will attract Workers 55+ to continue in productive activities.
  • Serve as a catalyst for revising laws, regulations and policies to provide incentives for employers to utilize Workers 55+ with requisite skills and abilities, and to encourage Workers 55+ to remain productively engaged where they can continue to add value.
  • Serve as a bridge between employers seeking talent and Workers 55+ who are ready and qualified to continue working.
  • Increase understanding about the impact of aging demographics on the working world, U.S. economy and the country’s entire social fabric.
